Files

In order to play on most public servers you will require some additional maps. We have posted some of the more common ones below. You can also browse the maps that are hosted on our server to download any of the ones you may be missing. You will need to place these in your “baseq3” directory.

If you plan on playing Capture The Flag, you will want to download these 3Wave map PK3 files and put them in your “baseq3” directory.

Grab the OSP client files from here.

HD Textures

If you are running a modern machine, you are going to want some updated textures to enhance the look of your game. Head over to the MODDB and grab the Neural Upscale Textures from the link below. These files are pretty big and the DL speed of this site isn’t great so be patient, it is worth the wait.

iDFe

Below is a link to the lastest version of the iDFe executable if you are into playing Defrag. You may also want to try this out for playing regular CTF or FFA matches as well. I was getting very small lag spikes running other Quake executables and this one seems to run the best on my system. It will also allow you to take advantage of all the enhancements that go along with defrag which are too numerous to list. This is also actively updated so check back every now and then to see if there is an update.
